Superb location near train and bus stations. Convenient for travelers. Great value for money. Offers a comfortable lounge area with various amenities.
Lacks a social atmosphere - guests were not very outgoing and seemed uninterested in socializing. The hostel overall lacked a vibrant and welcoming vibe.

The hostel had a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. This made it extremely convenient for me to access and explore the city. Plus, there were many shops and food options in the vicinity, allowing me to easily shop for local products and enjoy delicious meals. Another advantage was the free breakfast offered at a nearby breakfast shop. It was a local breakfast experience and added to the overall value of my stay.
The hostel was quite far from the main retail area, around 4-5 km, and public transportation stopped early in the evening. Renting a bicycle or a scooter would have been much better to get around.

Located right in front of the railway station, making it convenient for travellers to access transportation. the hostel offers a cyclist-friendly environment with a designated area for bike parking and essential workshop tools available. the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, curtains for privacy, and individual plugs and lights for each bed. the common area is well-designed and the free breakfast is a nice perk.
The automatic light in the dormitory can be bothersome at night, potentially disturbing other guests.

Our stay at Hualien Wow was truly amazing. The sleeping areas exceeded our expectations with clean and comfortable bunk beds. The bathroom was shared but very clean and hygienic. The location, right in front of the train station, made it convenient for our day trips to Taroko Gorge. The canyoning tour offered by the hostel was also worth the money. I would highly recommend staying at Hualien Wow.

I recently stayed at Hualien Wow and had a great experience. The location was perfect, just across from the railway station which made it easy to find and convenient for exploring the city. The dorm room was small but spacious, with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. I loved the kitchen facilities, it had everything I needed to cook my own meals. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in before 3 PM. The price per night was reasonable too. I would highly recommend Hualien Wow for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Hualien City.

The location of the hostel was extremely convenient, right in front of the train station. This made it easy for me to explore the city and take advantage of the various transportation options available nearby, including buses, taxis, and moped/car rentals. the hostel staff provided exceptional service. They were always willing to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. For example, when I needed a scooter helmet early in the morning, they allowed me to borrow one from the reception desk. And when I checked out but still had time before my train, they kindly let me use the shower in the public area to freshen up.
One aspect that I didn't particularly enjoy was the dark atmosphere in the room. It made the space feel a bit gloomy and less inviting.

Breakfast choices could be improved with more variety.
